"We Should Do This Again" Short Film Needs Cast
Casting lead and supporting roles for "We Should Do This Again," a dark workplace comedy. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please see the roles below. About the project: Molly is an associate whose fear of losing her job keeps her from standing up to her manager. Her work-life balance is pushed to the limit when her best friend convinces her to take a break, just for a few hours. Rate: $50/day, meals included. LEAD, 2 days. An overworked associate who's great at her job and terrible at protecting herself from it. She says "Of course, no problem!" with a smile while dying inside. Needs strong silent reactions and the ability to switch between a fake "work voice" and her real self. Light physical and stunt work. NOTE: includes fight choreography (Molly is shoved to the ground and choked).
LEAD, 1 day. Molly's best friend. Currently in anger management, and it's barely holding. Needs precise comedic control: a smile that never breaks while the rage visibly leaks through. Also plays an explosive imagined version of herself. Improv or sketch background a plus. Light stunt work (prop baseball bat).
SUPPORTING, 1 day. A senior executive who treats a violent HR incident like a minor scheduling inconvenience. Bored, blunt, deadpan.
SUPPORTING, 1 day. The CEO's calm, precise legal fixer. Excellent deadpan timing. The script contains strong language and stylized comedic violence. All fight scenes will be choreographed and rehearsed.
