Dottie, sad because of her mom's death. Resentful of her dad for not being attached to her. She wants her mom back. She likes to work hard on the farm.
The old man across the street. He is a caring man and see's the situation of Qeu's farm through the lens of a man who has been through the ringer. He knows hard stuff happens, and he wants to support them.
