"Her" Project Seeking Actors
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Casting call for "Her" About the project: HER: Healing. Empowerment. Realness. This piece brings four women together for an honest conversation about some of the real experiences women carry but may not always talk about openly. The stories touch on: • Relationships and deciding whether to stay or leave • Being the “strong woman” everyone depends on • Miscarriage and grief • Loss of a spouse • Boundaries, healing, connection and starting over Although the subject matter is emotional, this is not intended to feel like a traditional dramatic stage play. There are moments of humor, disagreement, vulnerability and connection. Rate: $50 stipend per performer Non-Union Additional info: Dates: Saturday, November 21, 2026 Location: Chicago, IL Performance: Approximately 5 minutes Must also be available for 1–2 rehearsals prior to the event. Acting experience is welcomed but not required. Community theatre performers, acting students and newer actors are encouraged to submit. Directors are especially interested in women who are comfortable with emotional material and can deliver dialogue naturally without overacting. This is a meaningful part of the HER experience, and looking for four women who can help bring these stories to life with realness, sensitivity and authenticity.
