Singing Audition for "Into the Woods" Play
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking singers for production of "Into the Woods". Please, see the details below. About the play: "Into the Woods", with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and a book by James Lapine, brings together some of the world’s most familiar fairy-tale characters, including Cinderella, Jack (of beanstalk fame), Little Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and a pair of childless bakers, and sends them into the woods in pursuit of their deepest wishes. As the characters discover that getting what you wish for does not necessarily mean getting what you need, their stories take a darker and more complicated turn. At once hilarious, moving, unsettling, and deeply human, Into the Woods is a story about wishes and consequences, parents and children, loss and responsibility, and the complicated experience of trying to find your way through the world. Beneath its fairy-tale exterior is a profoundly ensemble-driven piece about community: the choices we make affect others, no one has all the answers, and ultimately, no one is alone.
