About the show: A masterful suspense thriller, Wait Until Dark follows Susan Hendrix, a recently blinded woman who becomes the target of dangerous con men searching for a mysterious doll believed to contain valuable contraband. Trapped in her apartment and increasingly isolated, Susan must rely on her intelligence, courage, and determination to outwit her pursuers. Filled with twists, deception, and edge-of-your-seat tension, this modern adaptation updates the setting while retaining all the suspense that made the original a classic. Rate: This is all volunteer. Additional info: Performance dates: November 6-8 and 13-15 Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. No prepared monologue is required. Please arrive 10 minutes early to complete an audition form and provide any known scheduling conflicts. Please bring a resume and headshot if available. This production contains themes of crime, deception, intimidation, violence, and suspenseful situations. Stage combat and intense dramatic scenes will be safely choreographed and rehearsed. Rehearsals will begin Monday September 21 and will generally be held Monday through Thursday nights from 7:30 to 9:30. Not all cast members will be called to every rehearsal. A tough, streetwise criminal. Direct, practical, and intimidating. Physically imposing presence is helpful but not required.
Susan's husband. Caring and supportive, though frequently absent due to work obligations.
