Fluent in Spanish & English. Dialogue will be spoken in both languages. Daniel is hardworking, resilient, and deeply protective of the people he loves. He’s planning his wedding, while secretly carrying the fear that his immigration situation could separate him from Hannah, his fiancée. The role requires a strong emotional performance, particularly because Daniel’s fear builds throughout the film. Intimacy: This role requires light kissing and hugging.
English speaker Hannah is Daniel’s fiancée. She’s warm, loving, and excited about their upcoming wedding. Although she knows about Daniel’s immigration status, she remains unaware of his recent deportation order. Intimacy: This role requires light kissing and hugging.
Spanish speaker. Voice only. No on-camera appearance is needed Gaby is Daniel’s younger sister. She loves and cares deeply for his brother. She hasn’t seen Daniel in years and worries when he decides to cross the border. When she hears his voice, she becomes emotional and excited. This role requires portraying emotion only through voice
Non-speaking role Eduardo is unloading his groceries when the immigration raid begins. Frightened, he runs toward his apartment. Action: This role requires running
Roberto is caught during the raid and desperately pleads with officers while his children watch. Action: This role requires running, being pinned to the ground, and having a person’s knee on your back.
Non-speaking role Marisol is detained during the raid while her teenage daughter watches. Action: This role requires kneeling on the asphalt, simulated restraint, being dragged and pushed into a car, and crying.
Luis is confronted by officers outside Daniel’s apartment building during the raid. Action: This role requires simulated physical confrontation with the actors playing the ICE officers.
The ICE officer is authoritative and appears serious. Portrays the primary officer who confronts Daniel at his apartment.
Portrays Roberto’s wife while he’s being taken. She shows distress. Action: This role includes being shoved by an actor portraying an ICE officer. Also, screaming and crying.
