About the project: After celebrating his culinary school graduation with a homemade meal, laughter, and hopeful plans for the future, Elias, a young Latino man, is suddenly taken from his home by immigration officers. Through Sarah’s experience of his disappearance, the film captures the devastating silence left behind, the unanswered calls, unfinished conversations, a broken family, and a future Elias may never have the chance to fulfill.
