Additional information: Christmas at Fezziwig's: A Christmas Carol Experience is an immersive ball and play. The players will be working both on and off stage as well as interacting with the guests. There will be scripted elements as well as improvisation that will be required. Audition Location online. Shoot/Performance Date(s) December 18th. Shoot/Performance Location(s) South Surrey. The character of Ebenezer is male but anyone can audition for the role. Ebenezer Scrooge is a cold hearted miser who would steal the coins off of a poor souls corpse. One Christmas Eve he is visited by Four Ghosts who take him on an adventure to his Christmas Past, Present, and Yet to Come, to hopefully change him for the better.
The character of Ebenezer is male but anyone can audition for the role. Before he became the old man we all grew to love, there was Young Ebenezer. Eager, keen, full of love, joy, and hope. Young Ebenezer worked for Ol’ Fezzwig with his best friend Jacob Marley, and at the Fezziwig ball the Belle of the ball caught his eye that fateful night.
The character of Belle is female but anyone can audition for the role. The Belle of the Ball, the apple of Scrooge’s eye before the cold clinking sounds of counting coins was all the joy he thought he needed. Belle is the one who got away. She is a kind hearted woman that Ebenezer meets and falls in love with at the Fezziwig’s Annual Christmas Ball.
The character of Jacob is male but anyone can audition for the role. Jacob Marley was Ebenezer Scrooge’s business partner who must suffer in eternity for the pain he caused many due to his greed. He is damned with the chains of his shame, and as the first Ghost that visits Scrooge and warns him that he must change his selfish ways or suffer eternal damnation.
A kind yet firm spirit that takes Scrooge on a journey to a Christmas’s long, long ago. Where is faced with some of his fondest and most feared memories. To simply present Scrooge with who he once was, and how he became the man he is today.
Additional Character. He is the youngest of all the ghosts for he only exists in the present moment, as he soon passes as Christmas Day ends. Showing Scrooge the ephemeral nature of each waking moment.
Additional Character. The final and most foreboding ghost, is The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come. Tall, Silent, Menacing, yet Peaceful they are a hooded figure resembling the grim reaper who shows Scrooge that his actions do indeed have consequences.
Additional Character. Fezziwig is a kind ma who Ebenezer apprenticed under during his younger years. He perfectly contrats the man that Ebenezer becomes.
Additional Character. Mrs. Fezziwig is the warm and welcoming hostess of the ball and wife of Mr.Fezziwig. Without her, there would be no party! She is the embodied generosity and importance of community.
Additional Character. Fred is Scrooge’s good natured nephew, born of his late sister Fan. Though Scrooge had an unwavering negative outlook on life, Fred never gives up on his uncle, and believes that deep down there is good. Fred is all about fun and games, and is surrounded by love, friends, and family.
Additional Character. Scrooges only employee, who is overworked and underpaid in excruciatingly freezing conditions. He is the proud father of six children, including the beloved Tiny Tim. He is a family man, who is simply hoping to have Christmas day off.
