About the show: "Iphis is a Man" is a coming-of-age story about your average fifteen-year-old boy learning what it means to be a man in an ancient Greece that looks and acts a lot like our modern-day world. Only difference? Iphis was born with a vagina. As he tries to understand who he is, he must answer to the crush he’s suddenly betrothed to, his pseudo-psychic mom, his nut-farming dad, and a (mostly unhelpful) goddess in drag. Iphis is a Man is a modern retelling of Ovid’s ancient myth of Iphis and Ianthe, a TYA show meant for anyone 14+. Additional information: This form is to express interest and apply to recieve an audition slot. Auditions will take place in St. John's, or by self-tape submission if needed. After you have submitted, directors will reach out to applicants in early September to provide options for your timeslot and sides for the auditions.
