Lead. Otis is stuck in a job that he hates but feels a sense of obligation to keep working despite not liking his situation. He always wanted to be an aero engineer, but never fully trusted himself after his initial failures within the profession. The fear of ruining his current “ok” situation is what prohibits him from taking any risks to chase his dreams. He is easily pressured by his boss, Vicky, and will rarely ever stand up for himself.
Supporting Vicky is the antithesis of the kid; she says every insult with a smile and plants seeds of doubt within her employees. She ultimately wants to get promoted within the company and needs a replacement. Otis was her hire, and she needs him to perform at a high level.
Supporting Tim is similar to “The Dude” in The Big Lebowski. He’s a free-spirited, overly confident person who can guarantee his success is imminent. His clumsiness and carefree attitude are ultimately what lead him astray during his business endeavors. But where he fails in financial success he makes up for in random wisdom drops.
Day Player His snarky one-liner makes the day-to-day office conversation a bit more intriguing.
Warm, supportive, and observant. She encourages The Kid's creative imagination.
