This is a paid production although directors are working within an ultra-low-budget structure. Compensation will vary depending on the size and requirements of each role. LEAD/UNDERSTUDY. Loving, impulsive, funny and fiercely loyal to her mother. Helen's emotions occasionally get the better of her judgment — spectacularly so in this case. The role of Helen is cast. We are seeking an understudy. Details will be shared with prospective actors.
SUPPORTING LEAD. Helen's older sister and her pragmatic counterweight. Responsible, sensible and socially composed, Deborah shares many of Helen's feelings — she just has considerably better judgment.
Helen and Deborah's mother. Frail but dignified, perceptive, loving and quietly formidable. Jean has very little time on screen but leaves a very large footprint on the story.
LARGE PRINCIPAL Plainclothes detective. Calm, professional and understated. Completely unaware that two of the people sitting across from him are hanging on his every word for entirely different reasons than he imagines.
LARGE PRINCIPAL Composed, professional estate lawyer who has the considerable misfortune of being the person tasked with delivering some very unwelcome news.
Fit, warm, gracious and sincere. Despite what certain members of the McNeil family may think, Linda is not the villain of this story.
FEATURED BACKGROUND. Handsome, vital and newly in love. Jean's widower and Helen and Deborah's father. A silent role, but central to the story.
