"Eden Goes Home" New Musical Needs Performers

Seeking talented actors/singers/strong movers to join the ensemble cast of "Eden Goes Home" at NY Winterfest in a variety of named roles. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See more info below. About the project: Show overview: Eden Goes Home is an emotionally raw, tender family-centered new musical with themes of mental health, cross-generational tension, and national identity. When her grandmother falls devastatingly ill with dementia, Eden Summers, an American student at Trinity College Dublin, must return to her small town in the U.S. and re-acclimate to suburban American life under the same roof as her parents, all while attending the local community college. Bitterly resentful at first to the change, Eden loses sight of herself in the place she used to feel most at home. The perspectives of Julie, Eden’s mom, George, Eden’s dad, and Granny are illuminated and interwoven as they each discover the true meaning of “home”. Rate: $500.00 – $700.00 per gig. Additional info: Rehearsal schedule: at least two rehearsals a week starting Sept 12th until November, when directors will increase rehearsal commitment, TBC after full casting but ideally availability on Mondays from 5:30-8:30pm and Saturdays from 2-6pm, with Tuesdays and Thursdays as needed from 5:30-8:30pm. Eden Goes Home will be performed on December 8th, 9th, and 12th. When applying, please include a monologue and cut of a modern musical theatre song by Thursday, September 10th at 5pm. Irish accent proficiency encouraged but not required.
