"Breathe" New Play Seeking African American Actress
Looking for a young female actor for "Breathe" a new play. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please refer to the information provided below for further details. Rate: This job pays a $250 flat-stipend for the entirety of the production (rehearsals, tech, and performances), and payment for services will be distributed on the final day of performances. Additional info: Non union. Rehearsals start the second week of October. Tech dates: December 7-10. If cast, the actor must be fully available for all days of tech (December 7-10) leading into opening night on December 11, 2026. Show dates: December 11-13 (4 shows). When applying, please include your headshot, resume, and a self-tape of you doing a contemporary monologue in a Nigerian accent. Please keep audition tapes to no more than 2 minutes.

This role requires the actor to speak in an authentic Nigerian accent, as well as speak Igbo during moments in the script where it is specified. You do not have to be bilingual, however, you must be comfortable speaking/learning Igbo. Directors will be aiding in that process.
