Selected performers may also have the opportunity to become part of the recurring cast for future productions, school tours, festivals, family events and digital content. Additional information: Location: Ottawa, Ontario. If you are naturally energetic, expressive, creative, comfortable performing in front of people and love interacting with children, directors encourage you to apply. Training and guidance in puppetry and children’s performance can be provided to selected candidates. The productions will include: Original children’s theater productions Puppet shows Interactive and musical performances School shows Festivals and family events Digital and YouTube content LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: Fluency in BOTH English and French is required. Arabic is considered a strong asset. LOOKING FOR: Particularly interested in people who: Have a natural ability to connect and engage with children Are energetic, expressive and comfortable with comedy Can improvise or are interested in developing improvisation skills Are comfortable with movement and physical performance Have puppetry experience OR are enthusiastic about learning puppetry Are creative, reliable, punctual and professional Enjoy working collaboratively as part of a small touring cast Are enthusiastic about developing their performance skills Experienced performers AND talented beginners are encouraged to apply.
