About the play: "Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding" is a hilarious, immersive dinner-theatre experience that invites the audience to become guests at the wildest Italian-Canadian wedding they’ve ever attended. From the ceremony to the reception, the evening unfolds around the audience as Tony and Tina’s larger-than-life families celebrate, argue, flirt, dance, drink and create plenty of unexpected chaos. Blending scripted comedy with improvisation and audience interaction, the show gives actors the opportunity to create memorable characters while making every performance a little different from the last. Bridesmaid/Featured Singer Donna is one of Tina’s bridesmaids and a lively member of the wedding party. Outgoing, confident and full of personality, she loves being part of the celebration and isn’t afraid to make herself the centre of attention. Donna is a highly interactive role, mixing scripted material with improvisation and plenty of audience interaction throughout the wedding and reception.
Tony’s Younger Brother Johnny is Tony’s younger brother a cocky, wannabe ladies’ man who thinks he’s far more important than he actually is. His father and brother run the family strip club, but Johnny happily lets the ladies believe that he’s the man in charge. He’s constantly flirting, showing off and trying to impress women, with a confidence that often exceeds his actual authority.
Best Man Barry is Tony’s best friend, the best man, and the life of the party. He’s also good friends with Tina’s ex-boyfriend, Michael and happens to be Michael’s former drug dealer. On the surface, Barry runs a pizza place; behind the scenes, he sells weed and cocaine out of it. Whatever you need to get a party going, Barry probably has it.
