East Asian. As the eldest daughter, she is the only thread holding the family together. She's grown tired of carrying the weight of her family's burdens, balancing school with multiple jobs. Despite her exhaustion, she's managed to reserve one last shred of empathy for her little sister-the only reason she hasn't left the house for good. She is hard on her sister out of concern for her.
East Asian, Cantonese Speaker (preferred). Despite working hard to support his two children, he uses his earnings to fund his gambling habits and bad investments, while losing out on jobs as a failing entrepreneur. He has insomnia, staying up late at the thought of unpaid bills. He is a compulsive liar, often boasting about fake achievements to his daughters. To keep up the facade, he wears a suit at home even with no air conditioning at the peak of summer.
