About the project: Aging King Lear divides his kingdom among his three daughters, rewarding flattery and banishing the one daughter who loves him honestly. The decision unravels his family, his sanity, and his kingdom, plunging Lear into madness and Britain into civil war. Shakespeare's tragedy is a brutal study of power, loyalty, and the cost of pride, building toward one of the most devastating final acts in the canon.
