Storyline: Six-year-old Marie is led by her mother through the quiet, disorienting ritual of a funeral. Along the path, she finds a lone flower and begins pulling its petals one by one, each releasing a warm memory of her grandmother, gardening, baking, singing, braiding hair. When only one petal remains, Marie's grief breaks through, and her mother helps her breathe through it and name what she's feeling. Comforted by the idea that "goodbye doesn't have to mean gone," Marie grows up to carry her grandmother's love forward, planting the same flowers with her own younger siblings. Logline: After losing her grandmother, a young girl plucks the petals from a single flower, each one unlocking a cherished memory, until the last petal forces her to confront what "goodbye" really means.
