Seeking Actors for Paid Project
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Seeking 6 actors for a immersive performance engagement in downtown Toronto during TIFF. See the details below. About the project: Project: A fully immersive branded experience inside a working pub in the Entertainment District (to promote a show on a streaming service). Actors are integrated into the environment as “in-world characters”, not performers on a stage, but inhabitants of a world. The experience runs across 10 days with rotating shifts throughout. Characters circulate through the pub chatting with guests, sitting at the bar, playing cards while a traditional band plays in the corner. When select guests receive a drink, a character stands, leads the room in a toast, Sláinte. Then sits back down like nothing happened. Sustained naturalistic or filmic character work throughout each shift. Unscripted, unpredictable public environment. No fourth wall. Rate: This is a Non-ACTRA, Non-Equity gig. $500/day flat rate. Lunch provided on all working days. Additional information: Ideal Candidate: Actors with experience in immersive theatre, character performance, or improv who can sustain a role naturally over an 8-hour shift in a live pub environment.
