Voice Acting Job for "Telltale" Project
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Casting voice actors for "Telltale" project. More details are below. About the project: "Telltale" brings to life three largely forgotten sites of Chinese migration across British Columbia, illuminating the experiences of Chinese migrants from the 1880s–1930s: Canadian Pacific Railway camps in the 1880s, the Chinese Detention Shed in Vancouver in the 1910s, and the Galiano Herring Saltery in the 1930s. The project is based on more than five years of archival research and reconstructs these sites, which have since disappeared from the landscape. Through immersive 3D environments and a “choose your own adventure” format, users will move through these historical spaces and encounter stories and characters connected to pivotal moments in BC’s Chinese Canadian history. The project is currently in production. Rate: $100/hour, with a 1–2 hour commitment Non-union, paid engagement. Parking or transit costs to the UBC recording studio will be covered.
