About the project: When novelist Charles Condomine hosts a séance as research for his latest book, he gets far more inspiration than he bargained for. The evening unexpectedly summons the mischievous spirit of his late wife, Elvira—much to the frustration of his very-much-alive second wife, Ruth. What follows is a wonderfully sharp comedy of marriage, jealousy, eccentricity, and supernatural chaos. With memorable characters, sophisticated comedy, and plenty of opportunities for actors to play with timing, physicality, and larger-than-life personalities.
