"Alan Cartyr" Horror Thriller Film Needs Cast
Actors & extras for an independent horror/thriller short film titled "Alan Cartyr". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. See the roles below. About the project: Logline: After being convicted and sent to a psychiatric institution, a mass-murdering serial killer is brought in for another mandated therapy session with his doctor—but this time, something is different. Rate: This is currently an unpaid independent project, unless funding is secured really. Director's long-term goal is to build a consistent team of people to work on future projects intended for YouTube, film festivals, and other platforms. Meals will be provided during filming, and all cast and crew will receive full film credits and IMDb credit. Additional info: Runtime: approximately 10 minutes. Filming window: October 2026. Dates TBD. Location: Denver–Colorado Springs, CO. Location TBD. The production is expected to require 2–3 days of filming, with the majority of scenes taking place indoors. Lead. Doctor Alan is a bold and inquisitive man who possesses a strong sense of misplaced bravery but struggles to recognize where the line should be drawn when it comes to anyone other than himself. This role requires a performance that balances curiosity, tension, and fear.
Supporting. A supporting role appearing both off-screen and through silhouette work. This role requires strong physical acting and vocal performance, particularly the ability to portray painful anger through body language, posture, and vocal tonality.
Supporting/extra. A heavily on-screen role requiring limited physical movement and a strong ability to communicate a display of her fearful desperation of freedom through facial expressions and body language. (Must be comfortable with SFX wounds and makeup.)
Number needed: 3. Background/supporting. Three performers needed to loom over the scene and, through body language and physical presence, showing that they silently despise what they see in front of them. (Must be comfortable with SFX wounds and makeup.)
