Actors and Actresses Sought for Upcoming Theatre Production

About the project: A decades-old, family-friendly annual celebration of the winter season told in song, dance, and story, each year being set in a different point in time and space. This year’s production is set in the Alpine regions of Germany and Austria, circa the 19th century. Strong singers of all ranges are sought for roles in this production. Actors and dancers are also encouraged to audition, but this production is primarily singing in chorale-type groups or solos. Formal voice training and/or the ability to read music are a plus but not essential. Additional info: Auditioners should come prepared to sing alone and with a mixed group; they should also be prepared to sing a brief (up to one minute) piece of their choosing that shows their range and strength, either a cappella or with a backing track. Rehearsals will be held every Monday evening and every three weekends on Saturday daytimes from September 14 - December 12 at St. Luke’s; successful auditioners will have the ability to memorize their parts within suitable timeframes. Tech week is December 14 - 17 at the MATCH, with five performances there December 18 - 20. This is a non-Equity, non-paying production with costumes and materials provided.
