About the project: As part of the research for an upcoming feature documentary, the Story Producing team is speaking confidentially with people who know their communities well, including professionals, nonprofit leaders, organizers, volunteers, faith leaders, educators, and service providers. Under the direction of award-winning Story Producer Martha Wollner, these informal conversations aim to better understand how the rising cost of living is affecting—or not affecting—middle-class families and communities throughout the greater Houston area. These are not film interviews and will remain completely confidential. The conversations are part of the research process to help the directors and producers identify authentic stories and perspectives reflecting families’ lived experiences.
