ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Seeking performers for production of "Sweat". Please, see the details below. About the play: "Sweat" follows a tight-knit group of coworkers who have shared their lives both on and off the factory floor. But when deindustrialization threatens their jobs, friendships fray, resentments surface, and long-buried tensions around race, class, and belonging are thrust to the surface. Rate: EACH PERFORMER WILL RECEIVE AN HONORARIUM. Additional information: All actors must be available for all performances. REHEARSALS: September to January. Mixed virtual/live. Prepare a 1 to 2 minute monologue that is appropriate for the character(s) that you are interested in. Please arrive 15 minutes early to fill in the audition card. You will also participate in cold reads with other actors; sides will be provided at the audition. If necessary, by invitation callbacks will take place on September 5th.
