On Christmas Eve, the ghost of his late business partner, Jacob Marley, and three spirits—Past, Present, and Yet to Come—visit Scrooge. They expose his lonely past, the plight of his clerk, Bob Cratchit’s ailing son, Tiny Tim, and his own bleak future death, inspiring him to become a generous, joyful man.
