About the project: Three spots using quick, intercut scenes to highlight familiar healthcare challenges from the perspectives of patients, providers, and small business owners. Performances should feel natural and grounded, with frustration building from beat to beat. Humor should come from the reality and escalation of each situation, not overly-exaggerated acting. Rate: $300–$700 depending on role. Local usage — TV, digital ads, print. Additional info: Non-union talent only. Open to all ethnicities and looks that feel authentic to Hawaiʻi. Healthcare or restaurant experience welcome. Talent must disclose any past or present professional association with a healthcare organization, hospital, or health insurance company, as well as any appearances in healthcare-related advertising. Begin concerned and confused, then let the pressure build naturally as the explanation becomes more complicated, the cost sinks in, and your child grows more persistent.

Stay professional with restrained frustration and subtle humor. Read the NURSE/MA lines; a separate reader may perform the off-camera voices, or you may pause and react as though hearing them.

Stay capable and professional, but let the pressure build as you juggle a phone call, sign documents, operate an uncooperative fax machine, and respond to constant interruptions.
● Compensation: $300 ● Role Type: Supporting speaking role in “Small Business Owner POV ● Shoot Date: TBD, either Sunday, Aug 16 or Monday, Aug 24 Character & Audition Direction: You are a hardworking restaurant employee who likes the job but needs more hours to qualify for medical coverage. Let the conversation build from casual concern to genuine uncertainty about whether you can afford to stay. Keep the performance natural and sympathetic to the owner.
