A southerner; has an acerbic wit but wounded beneath his sarcasm; uses humor like armor. Travis wants love but expects rejection. He's the emotional anchor of the play’s adult relationship storyline.
Effeminate, Latinx, or mixed race (18+ to play 15). He represents the terror of adolescence under social scrutiny; he is exploring a new gender identity he cannot really articulate. Bullied because of femininity and neurodivergence.
A truck driver; a small guy who embodies masculinity, and loneliness; gentle, and deeply compassionate. He wants redemption as a father, and as someone trying to survive addiction. Conflicted about his bisexual identity.
