About the project: Seeking scare actors for The Lost Train of Dr. Deadtrack, an immersive haunted house created on decommissioned train cars at the Campo Railroad Museum, a 501(c)(3) non-profit museum. The haunted house accompanies the museum’s Sip ‘N Scare train excursion. Beginners welcome! Rate: Non-union. Unpaid/volunteer role Additional info: Seeking talent from San Diego County. Dates: October 10, 17, 24, 31 from 5pm to 10pm (mandatory rehearsal TBD, likely October 3rd). Please apply if interested.

Physical characteristics: Tall (6’+ ideal), lean build, with stiff posture. Speaking role: Nonspeaking mixed with subtle grunts and menacing looks. Additional information: Must be able to open a heavy sliding door repeatedly. Close crowd interaction required.
Physical characteristics: Any. Character wears a latex mask and is primarily hidden from the chest down. Speaking role: Whispering innuendoes in a creepy/disturbing manner mixed with screaming/wailing in madness. Additional information: Must be able to operate a lever and lift up to 5lbs. Mostly seated.
Physical characteristics: Any, but some athletic ability required. Speaking role: Consists of shouting, begging, pleading, and screeching lines. Additional information: Ability to run short distance and crawl w/ bound hands; quick, defensive movements.

Physical characteristics: Short height and small/thin stature preferred, but open for the right candidate. Speaking role: Must be loud; screaming/wailing. Additional information: Requires squatting/crouching in a small space. Aggressive cage rattling required.
Physical characteristics: Either very short (5’2” and under) or tall (6’+) and thin/wiry build. Speaking role: Nonspeaking. Additional information: Ability to repetitively wield foam sword in combat-like maneuvers with a static object. Jumping and ducking required.
Older actor preferred if can meet physical requirements (below). Physical characteristics: Weathered, hunchbacked look (can be accomplished with makeup). Speaking role: Outstanding improviser w/ ability to transition between hysteria, fear, and sympathy; often rambling nonsense w/ rapid mood swings. Additional information: Unpredictable energy w/ sudden outbursts. Ability to quickly jump up from laying position. Close crowd interaction required.
