Seeking singers for AEA compliant industry reading of award wining musical, "Safe Hands". ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Please find the details below. About the project: Safe Hands storyline: In 1956 New Jersey, five women are bound by the secret of "Frankie's House"- a covert abortion clinic on the edge of town. Safe Hands is an original musical that takes an honest look at life before Roe v. Wade. Set against a soaring folk-rock score, the award-winning original story explores the hidden lives of women and the communities they forge behind closed doors. Rate: $200 + stipend. Additional info: This is the 1st industry reading of the work. All casting will be virtual and all submissions will receive an email regarding casting. Rehearsal Dates: 9/13-9/20.
