About the project: LOGLINE: Three hours late to her family’s annual Chinese-New-Year-Christmas, 19-year-old Madison arrives in a whirlwind, forced to confront the fear she’s been carrying surrounding her sexuality, culture, and identity. Lead. Mixed - Caucasian and Chinese. The family's dependable eldest daughter, Madison, is a strong-willed emotional wreck. After hooking up with her toxic ex-girlfriend, she must survive the rest of the night at her family's chaotic holiday celebration. Between defending her actions to her sister and protecting a well of secrets in their family, Madison must resume her role as the peacemaker to hold the house together.
Supporting. Mixed - Caucasian and Chinese. Dramatic and quick-witted, Penelope's pride is in her independence. As Madison's younger sister, Penelope has dealt with her shenanigans forever, and yet she takes that and doubles it.

Supporting. Loving but controlling, Penelope and Madison's mom believes her children's actions are a reflection of her parenting. By trying to manage every aspect heir lives, she believes she's protecting them.
