Seeking talents for Make-A-Wish Video project - NU - week of 8/17 - DC area Synopsis: The film is about learning to let go and rest and finding your identity in what is real. The film follows, Candace, as she moves through her days on autopilot. It isn't until she is stripped of her phone, her schedule, and her routines that she's forced to actually stop and feel the world around her again. That stillness leads her somewhere unexpected. Date: Week of August 17th anticipated Location: Washington DC area Talents needed: Principal: Candace (18-25 female of color) (potential for multiple days). Rate $400 less agency fees per day. Dayplayer: Elderly woman (70+ female, any ethnicity) (anticipate 1 day) $300 less agency fees per day (only 1 day anticipated). About Autumn: Autumn is 14, she is a Poet, she lives in Clarksville, Maryland, and is battling lymphoma. Her idea is to write a poetic script and collaborate with a team to create a short film that she helps direct. Focus on visual storytelling and emotional expression. Her Goal: ‘To bring my writing to life through film and experience the creative process of being both a writer and director.’ Final result, a Premiere of the completed film with friends and family. Submission process: If you are interested in being considered for either of these roles, please self tape, and submit your 1 file to the provided email by 5 pm on 8/5 (sooner if better). If you need wiggle room, please let me know! For the self tape, please slate with first and last name then go into the sides. It is recommended to be off book if possible and have a reader (if possible). If you do not have a reader, just act out the lines of the character only. Check the provided link for the sides.

The role requires subtle, emotionally restrained performance that gradually opens into genuine presence, wonder, and connection. Strong facial acting and an ability to communicate complex emotion without dialogue are essential.
