About the project: CONTEXT: Sophie Scholl was a courageous German anti-nzi activist in the 1930s and 1940s Germany who led the peaceful white rose resistance movement. She got the death penalty at 21 along with her brother Hans distributing anti-war and anti-nzi leaflets. She is an inspiration and her story matters to me. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A tense, emotional fictional historical event depicting the final moments between White Rose German resistance member Sophie Scholl and her fiancé, Wehrmacht officer Fritz Hartnagel, 10 minutes before she gets the death penalty by the Yahtzee People's Court in 1943. Rate: Non-union. Not paid. Additional information: Independent Drama Historical Fiction/Short. Shoot date: August 2026 (Let Me Know Your Availability). Location: TBD. WARDROBE NOTE: Due to the period setting of this production, all talent must bring and wear their own 1940s-style wardrobe to set. Sophie: Era-appropriate clothing, maybe a short haired wig like she had short hair, (a dark skirt, a blouse, and a cardigan/sweater.) Fritz: 1940s military attire or a simple fit (high rise/high-waisted trousers, spearpoint collar shirts, anything 40s top, can be thrifted or diy, you don’t need to spend a fortune on this) Guard: A dark-colored blazer or suit jacket, over a plain, light-colored button-down collared shirt. A matching, heavy fabric A-line skirt that hits right at or just below the knee. A dark belt. Black shoes doesn’t really matter to be honest. Do your hair nicely or wear a wig for the 40s.
