About the project: This is a short film that gives a window into the life of Jeremy, a college student going through a financial crisis. In the midst of this crisis Jeremy gets to experience a once in a lifetime event. Additiional information: Shooting Dates: August 21st and August 22nd, 2026. Shooting Location: St Johns, NL. Film will be made through the First-time Filmmaker Program with NIFCO. Submission Deadline: August 15th, 2026. When applying, please submit a head shot, resume, and demo reel, if you have one.

Jeremy is college student going through a financial crisis, he loves to keep to himself and doesn't seem to have a lot of friends. In the midst of this crisis, he has an unavoidable contact with a mythical being that will dictate the rest of his life.
Bemon is a mythical creature. It is a creature that is a manifestation of the human greed and the by-product of capitalism. It is a creature that comes as a copy-cat of someone you're familiar with. It makes decisions for you and decides your approach to life.
