Listen to the playlist on the music app of your choice 2. Watch a production of the show - One great option is KINGS ACADEMY on Youtube. 3. Read the script - A a quick google search of "Little Women the Musical pdf" and you will find the full libretto. 4.Prepare a song in the style of the show that showcases your full range. Songs should not be modern or contemporary and not from the show. Songs should be aproximately 60-90 seconds long. 5. Read a scene or monologue from the show. Will be given at auditions. Callback Auditions August 25th 5:00-7:00pm If Callback auditions are needed, we will reach out to individuals on the 23rd. Cast members called back will be given specific songs they will need to prepare and perform for the audition. They will also do chemistry readings with other cast members. Please be prepared to be available the duration of the Callback. Our story's protagonist. Passionate, adventurous, and brave. She has the idea of writing Little Women and eventually becomes engaged to Professor Bhaer E3-A5
The youngest, most energetic sister with a rather pompous air about her. She later marries Laurie. F#3-Gb5
The world-weary, yet hopeful, oldest sister who yearns for a great life. She marries John and has twins with him. Will double as Clarissa. Bb3-B5
The second youngest sister who tragically dies of Scarlet Fever. Peace-maker, lover, and an optimist who is always encouraging her sisters to dream. G3-G5
The girls' mother. She is the strong backbone of the family, who is courageous in spite of the difficult odds she faces. Eb3 - Eb5
The bright-eyed boy-next-door with considerable charm. He loves Jo but later falls in love with Amy. Bb2-Bb4
A formidable, over-bearing matron and great-aunt to the March sisters. The wealthy socialite in town. Will double as Hag. E3-F#5
Laurie's tutor and a rather stiff man; shows very little emotion. He later marries Meg and changes. E3-G4
German Professor who exemplifies proper manners. He is a boarder in Mrs. Kirk's boarding house and eventually falls in love with Jo. G2-G4
Laurie's grandfather and the March Family neighbor. Gruff and hardened, but softens over the course of his friendship with the March's, closest to Beth.
These roles will double as townspeople, ballroom attendants,beach visitors and boarding house guests. They will sing for some scenes and learn a Ballroom dance for one scene.
The New York boarding house proprietress that lodges Jo and Professor Bhaer. Irish, kindly, warm and motherly. Will double as Troll
The ingénue in Jo's story; prone to fainting, sobbing dramatically, ultimately finds her courage.
The villain in Jo's story; classic mustache - twirling, dastardly fellow.
The hero in Jo's story; handsome, saving-the-day with much bravado.
In Jo's story; an elderly Knight who possesses the key to Clarissa's destiny.
In Jo's story, the real hero, Clarissa's long-lost sister in disguise. Female role disguised as a male.
Will not be double casting this show. However, ensemble members will be understudies for lead roles.
