About the project: Logline: A disillusioned mime runs away from the circus to join the rat race, only to rediscover the reason she left in the first place. Rate: Non union. This is an unpaid short with the intention of festival submission later in the year. Additional information: Shoot Location: Vancouver. Shoot Date: August 15 & 16, 2026. Supporting Lead. A career clown and Mimi’s mentor who inspires her to leave the circus.
Supporting. Ring Master of the circus who tries to convince Mimi to stay despite paying her less than minimum wage.
Supporting. Office Manager and Mimi’s new boss as well as a salacious gossip.
Supporting. Mimi’s co-worker and ex-boyfriend who is a shameless flirt.
Supporting. Mimi’s co-worker who is equal parts oblivious and terrible at their job.
Supporting (N/S). Part of the circus with a bit of blood-lust behind them. (This role will require heavy makeup/possible prosthetics).
