"The Taming of the Shrew" Show Needs Actors
The company is holding auditions for auditions for a staged reading of The Taming of the Shrew, and looking for performers, please see the details below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. About the project: What if the setting for Shakespeare's courtship comedy took place in a reimagined Elizabethan England where society is controlled by women? Join us for a hilarious, high-spirited take on a classic. The language of the play will remain the same, but the gender of many roles will be reversed. In this adaptation, the wealthy woman Baptista has a plan: marry off her eldest son to the highest bidder (whether he likes it or not). Additional info: Rehearsals & Performances Rehearsals will be held September 28-30 and October 5-8, 7-10pm. Not all actors will be called for every rehearsal.
