Performers wanted for "Caroline, or Change" show. See the breakdown below. ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED. Additional info: Community theater production. All roles are open and unpaid. Vocal audition: prepare one 30–60 second musical theatre song in the style of the show. Do not sing a song from Caroline, or Change. An accompanist will be provided. Bring clearly labeled sheet music in a book or binder. Callbacks: Saturday, August 8th, 11:00 AM–3:00 PM, by invitation only. Dance audition at callbacks only. Arrive dressed to move. Dance shoes recommended but not required. Tile floors at the audition venue. Performance dates: October 31 and November 6, 7, 13, 14 at 7:30 PM; November 1, 8, and 15 at 2:00 PM at the F. Scott Fitzgerald Theatre, Rockville, MD. Actors must be available for all performances and tech week. No conflicts with show dates accepted. Rehearsals begin late August, typically 3–5 days a week: Monday–Thursday 7:00–10:00 PM and Saturdays 10:00 AM–3:00 PM, with occasional Sundays. Load-in and tech rehearsals: weekend of October 24th. Brush-up rehearsals November 5th and 12th. Cast members are responsible for obtaining proper footwear and their own makeup. If interested, please apply.
