About the project: A guarded 19-year-old finally opens up to a girl who can't open up in return, and when it falls apart, it's his best friend, unasked, who shows up and reminds him that some things are worth having, even for just a second. A role for an actor who can communicate through stillness, restraint, and small facial shifts rather than big line deliveries. Needs strong emotional range in a limited-dialogue role: the character's arc is carried as much by what he doesn't say as what he does. Moments of guarded warmth, followed by a real, unguarded emotional break in the third act.
