Rate: $318.25 weekly minimum (Tier 1) until 10/4/26 $375 weekly minimum (Tier 1) - After 10/5/26 Additional info: Rehearsals Begins - week of November 30, 2026 Holiday hiatus Dec 21-27 Load-in - January 4, 2027 Tech - January 16, 17 Dress/Tech January 19- 21 Previews - January 22, 23, 24, 27 Opening - January 28 Close - February 27 Please prepare a 1-minute contemporary (mid 20th century and later) monologue which demonstrates your ability for grounded connection, self-reflection, curiosity, and/or humor. Directors cannot accept self tapes at this time. EPA Procedures are in effect for this audition. An Equity Monitor will be provided. (Haitian) Is Bean's mother and a former nurse. Emi immigrated to the U.S. with Bean's father from Haiti and has no plans on returning back. She's a vibrant woman with a firecracker sense of humor. However, there is a depth to this woman as she has had to navigate the hardships that forced her to leave home and the hardship of being an immigrant in the US. Her daughter is her purpose in life, and she loves Bean immensely even if she doesn't always understand her.
(Haitian) Is Emi's daughter and born in the US. Bean is on the verge of getting everything she wants in her life. She's a successful lawyer who is up for partnership at her firm and has a loving fiance to come home to. Despite all of this, something feels missing. Bean is lost. She longs for a deep connection to her mother's homeland. Bean loves her mother despite dodging Emi's incessant questions about when she's going to settle down with children.
