Rate: Paid principal roles, unpaid supporting/extra roles Additional info: Shoot dates: 15 filming days between September 1–20 Location: East Valley, AZ (Gilbert, Mesa, and Queen Creek) Runtime: approximately 100–115 minutes Callback invitations sent: Monday, August 3 Callbacks: Saturday, August 8 Casting finalized shortly after, ahead of the September 1 shoot start. Rate: $600 — Appears in all acts — Lead Caleb is the female lead’s coworker at the movie theater, and the emotional steady ground of the story, a presence that spans the entire film. There’s real chemistry and unspoken tension between them, but he never pushes it. He shows up for her consistently, notices what she needs before she says it, and is patient in a way that reads as quiet strength rather than passivity. Ideal for an actor who can do warmth and restraint at the same time.
Rate $400 — Appears in acts 3–5 — Lead / Antagonist Lucas is the female lead’s classmate and Caleb’s narrative foil: magnetic, attentive, and genuinely convinced he’s the good guy in this story. The role requires an actor who can play charm and control as the same trait: he pays close attention to her dreams and vulnerabilities, then uses that closeness to slowly cut her off from her passions, her friends, and herself, all while believing he’s protecting her.
Unpaid — Appears in all acts — Supporting The female lead’s mother. Supportive early on, she becomes more disciplinary and emotionally out of step with her daughter as the story progresses; not from a lack of love, but from a real misread of what her daughter needs.
