Proof of Concept for "Death Where Is Thy Sting"
π¬ CASTING CALL PROOF OF CONCEPT β Non-Union / UNPAID / Two Leads π Woodstock & Oxford County Two lead roles in a three-minute proof of concept for a feature I'm developing. Shooting one day, evening, between August and October. ELI β M, 18+ to play 17. A drywall taper who barely speaks NAOMI β F, 18+ to play 17. Dying, and the most alive person in the film. All ethnicities and backgrounds welcome. Saying this plainly so nobody finds out later: this is unpaid. Nobody is being paid, including me. What I cover is food on the day, a properly edited copy of the film for your reel, stills, and credit. No option on your services, no exclusivity. You'd be auditioning for the short. Not the feature.

He has been taping drywall since he was fourteen, doing cash work on his brother's crew, and he has no diploma. Dust is packed into the splits in his knuckles. His mom walked out when he was nine and left a note, and his dad still lives in the house but has barely spoken since. Eli is turning into that silence, and it scares him. He believes, completely, that he is only worth what his hands can fix, so when he cannot fix something, he cleans around it.
She is the only child of a widow in Norwich, a small church town where the whole congregation has been watching her die and praying about it. Her dad took her out to the woods on Saturdays, but he has been dead twelve years, and his brass watch is way too big for her wrist now and slides around on it. She was going to be a musician.
