About the project: An obsessive Canucks fan must break a curse which he believes connects his life to the Vancouver Canucks in all the wrong ways. A film about what it’s like to be a Vancouver Canucks fan. Rate: Unpaid. Craft service, IMDB credit, and demo reel footage provided. Additional information: Project Type: Short Film. Audition Dates: Self-tapes due by July 30th.. Audition Location: Self-tape. Shooting Dates: 2 Days, weekend; Late September/Early October. Shooting Location: Greater Vancouver Area. Dean's life has gone off the rails. He nearly flunked out of high school, has been rejected by every college in the world, and got kicked out of a McDonalds job interview recently. To top it all off, he recently killed his parents in a drunk driving car accident on their way home from a Canucks game. He's not coping with any of this well. His passion for the Canucks has morphed into a fetish-like obsession.
Due to a recent shoulder injury (caused by Dean), Shane can no longer play hockey, ruining his chances of making the NHL. As a result, Shane is forced to major in General Studies in college. Not exactly the life he planned. But Shane believes there's hope so long as he takes action. He remains optimistic, willing to embrace the future. He holds no ill will towards Dean, despite the fact that they haven't talked in months.
\Dean has treated Hannah like shit. Ignoring her. Cheating on her. Treating her like a pet. She has had enough. Hannah believes her life can be better. She believes she deserves better. She believes there's hope so long as she takes action. She is going to breakup with Dean unless he can admit his mistakes and apologize for how he has treated her.
