Jealousy curdles into obsession, and an ancient power beneath the lake offers Djen a bargain: Mwami's total devotion, at the cost of everyone standing between them. Rate: Non-union and open to non-actors. Additional information: Location: Montreal, QC. Experimental narrative short film to be shot in the Montreal & Williamstown area, September 4th–8th. Lead. - Dark skin. - Strong physical presence and emotional range. - Must be comfortable with intimacy, water, mud, and physical performance. - Performance style: internal, restrained, expressive through body rather than dialogue.
Lead. - Tall/angular physical presence preferred; - Charismatic but emotionally detached energy; - Must contrast Djen (performative masculinity/emotional avoidance); - Comfort with intimacy and group physical work required.
