About the project: Marvin's Room is a deeply moving and surprisingly funny family drama about love, responsibility, and the complicated bonds that hold families together. After spending nearly two decades caring for her ailing father Marvin and her eccentric aunt Ruth, Bessie receives devastating news of her own: she has leukemia and needs a bone marrow donor. Her estranged sister Lee, who left years earlier to build a different life, returns with her two sons in hopes of reconnecting and helping Bessie through her illness. Additional info: Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script. Rehearsals begin late August, approximately three evenings per week, with scheduling based on cast availability whenever possible. Performances begin October 30, 2026.
