Repeatedly told that he lacks authenticity, he follows the advice of his best friend, Leo, and borrows pieces of Leo's traumatic past during a crucial job interview. His fabricated vulnerability earns him the opportunity he has always wanted, but as he begins to consume another person's pain, the boundaries between borrowed pain and genuine identity blur.
