Male-Presenting. South Asian (Brown) or Black. Must be available for bi-weekly rehearsals leading up to the performance date. Cooking skills are a plus! Jackson is cocky, but deeply unsure of himself. He needs to show off what he knows to the ones who love him, and especially to the ones he thinks don’t even see him. He thinks that the world is treating him like an underdog, and he can’t wait to prove them wrong. Halfway scrawny and barely charming - you kind of want to hit him.
Male-Presenting. Must be available for bi-weekly rehearsals leading up to the performance date. Sports paraphernalia is a plus! The quintessential friend you never see again after leaving high school. Unbelievably happy with his own life, and loves frivolity with all his heart. He cares deeply about Jackson but doesn’t know if he believes in his delusions of grandeur yet. The type of guy who you would bet on owning a full Nike tracksuit at some point in his life. Less fly than he thinks.
Female-Presenting. Must be available for bi-weekly rehearsals leading up to the performance date. Applicants can submit any monologue or stick to her sides ... or both! Strong-headed with an airy disposition. Marie feels like her life is going to work itself out, even if that’s an uncertainty, so she devotes her time to learning about the world around her.
Male-Presenting. South Asian (Brown) or Black. Must be available for bi-weekly rehearsals leading up to the performance date. Jackson’s older brother. Has sacrificed plenty for Jackson, but was never present in their relationship. He desperately wants to be a “good” brother and tries his hardest throughout the play to connect. Hardworking, genuine, but seems deadbeat and “old-school” in some ways. Extremely charismatic, and the joints he smokes definitely help.
