About the project: An independent feature film based on a true story — a father and his teenage son, two stranded snowmobiles, and a one-mile walk through the Upper Peninsula that became a twenty-two-hour fight for their lives. Long Cold Night is an indie film based on a true story of a father and his teenage son who get their snowmobiles stuck on a small river in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the dead of winter. They abandon their machines on the ice to walk out — and what should have been a one-mile walk turns into a twenty-two-hour fight for their lives, in a blizzard and forty-below-zero temperatures. Additional info: It's a story about endurance, family, and faith. The directors are building it in Little Falls, Minnesota, and the surrounding area — and are seeking people to bring it to life.
