ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE ACCEPTED. Independent short film called "Silent Resilience" is currently in need of cast. More details are below. About the project: A social realist drama about an immigrant woman in Toronto who struggles to be heard while fighting an unpaid wages case. Rate: This is a volunteer/low-budget independent film project. Credit will be provided, and drectors will do the best to make everyone feel respected, safe, and appreciated on set. Additional information: Preparing to shoot an opening one-shot scene in downtown Toronto and are looking for a few community volunteers/background performers to help create an authentic city street atmosphere. Location: Downtown Toronto. Shoot date: TBD. Time commitment: Approx. 2–3 hours. This is a fictional film scene, but directors want to approach it with care and respect. The purpose is not to use anyone’s cause or identity as decoration, but to reflect the real emotional and social landscape of Toronto — a city where many people are trying to be heard.
