About the project: When her domineering mother shows up at her doorstep for the first time in years, a young Mexican-American crochet artist and sexual assault survivor faces her past and her estranged daughter. She struggles to protect herself and her delicate, tranquil life. Rate: $650 for the 2 days, Joci $600 for the 2 days, Adriana $150/day for Luz Flat rate includes table read, rehearsal, and travel compensation. Luz is paid a daily rate, which also includes table read, rehearsal, and travel compensation. Luz is scheduled for 1–2 shoot days, depending on the production schedule. During this period, she is sexually assaulted, resulting in a pregnancy and childbirth before she regains consciousness. Although her physical strength has mostly returned, she continues to struggle mentally and emotionally. Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
A Mexican immigrant and single mother, with a striking appearance, who suffers from mental health issues stemming from generational trauma. She migrated to the United States through marriage to Joci’s biological father, a Mexican-American, from whom she later divorced. She views relationships as self-serving and uses others for personal gain. Must be bilingual (English & Spanish)
